Caribou is Chicago’s fastest growing coffee entity.  They currently operate 320 coffeehouses in twelve markets, including 56 in the Chicagoland area.   They are scheduled to open 5 more in the next year.  Caribou Coffee has received more than 15 awards like, is a recipient of “Nations’ Restaurant News” prestigious “Hot Concept” award and has been awarded “Best Coffee House” in the markets in which it competes.

We have done many blind taste tests both in-house and with prospective customers.   During these tests the person does not know which coffee they are drinking and must state their preference.  Caribou is the winner every time and I would be happy to do this test with you as well. . Mastercraft is willing to donate $100 to your favorite charity if it does not win a blind taste test conducted with your people versus any other coffee available in the market.

What does it take to make such an excellent coffee?
 It is a combination of factors: bean quality, proper blending, roasting, freshness, brew temperature, extraction, and how the coffee is held to avoid ‘cook down’.

Caribou Blends Available Through Mastercraft
Daybreak Morning Blend
A light roast coffee having citrus tones of tangy liveliness, balanced with mellow sweet nutty undertones and delicate floral high notes.

Caribou Blend-Regular & Decaf
A medium roast coffee with the perfect proportion of Central American South American and Indonesian Beans.  Relaxed complexity composed of sweet earth tones, spices, berries and nutty smoothness.

Dark Roasts 
Sumatra (dark), Espresso(darker), and French Roast(darkest), all bring out the rich, deep flavors of the coffee and add a touch of gossamer-like smokiness to the pot.  The natural flavors of the bean are sometimes subdued, but flavors from the roasting itself begin to appear and combine beautifully with certain beans and blends.  These rich, sometimes heavy creatures are wonderful after a meal and strong enough to hold up to milk and sugar.
